Brows by Microblading

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent make-up pigmentation technique especially developed for 3D hair drawing. It‘s ideal to cover scars and gaps, define shape, create an arch and fill in the brows. Microblading creates natural looking eyebrows for people with very little or no brow hairs by depositing a small amount of ink in the outer layer of the skin without reaching the dermis. The needle used is 3 times thinner that the one used with machines, creating very fine, crisp hair strokes that do not blur after healing.

How does it differ from Permanent-Make-Up?:

Microblading is a manual method of depositing pigment with hair-like strokes in the epidermis to create the look of fuller brows while a permanent make-up artist will use tattoo machines to implant ink into the dermis. Instead of outlining and completely filling in the outline of your brows with color, microblading actually allows for the placement of hair-like strokes into the skin. Because the pigment is applied superficially in the skin, strokes are sharp and crisp, mimicking the look of real hair! Your new brows last anywhere between 1-2 years depending on factors like age, skin texture and immune system. This is not as long as permanent make-up, but it will allow you to change your brows as trends change. Touch-Up is usually necessary after 4 weeks.

What is the Microblading Process?

Before the tattooing begins, we’ll work one-on-one with you to ensure that we match the right eyebrow shape that best suits your needs and expectations. Also, the actual color of the brow will be selected in order to properly match the skin tone and desired finished look you are looking for. In addition, we’ll make sure that you understand every single step of the procedure. The treatment starts with the precise drawing of the brow shape. This is followed by the actual blading. The first Microblading procedure usually lasts between one and a half to two hours.Touch-Ups are usually given after 4 weeks and the color will be intensified and refreshed.

Care instructions for Microblading

While we strive for perfection, results cannot be guaranteed to be perfect after the initial procedure due to the many factors affecting both integration and retention of pigments in the skin. Factors ranging from medication, sun exposure, smoking, hormones and age all contribute to fading and must be taken into account during pre and post procedure. On the first day after the treatment it’s very important to wash the area every 1-2 hours with a small amount of water or a mild antibacterial soap and apply a healing cream in order to avoid scabbing. Afterwards you only need to apply the healing cream 2-3 times a day until your brows are fully healed.
