Goodbye eyelash curler! In the past, mascara was needed every time to achieve curved, long lashes and an expressive, radiant look. Thanks to "Lash Lifting by Beautylounge", you can now wake up with perfect lashes. How does it work? We'll explain it to you here.
Lash Lifting: How does it work and what are the benefits?
Eyelash lifting and eyelash curling are both treatments in which the lashes are chemically shaped with a lotion to create a stronger curl (similar to a permanent wave but much milder).
The effect lasts four to six weeks and is visible immediately after the end of the treatment. In contrast to eyelash curling, where the lashes are wrapped around a small artificial roller, lifting raises the lashes at the base. This makes them appear longer and stretches them without a visible kink.
To achieve this curl, the eyelashes are cleaned, combed and then glued to a silicone pad with a mild adhesive, which is fixed to the eyelid beforehand. This pad determines the subsequent shape of the eyelashes and, depending on the desired curl and length of the eyelashes, different silicone pads of different sizes are used.
They are then dabbed with a solution that makes the lashes soft and malleable. Depending on the thickness and type of lashes, this process can take up to 15 minutes.
Once the lashes are soft and supple, the solution is carefully removed and a second, firming lotion is dabbed on again. This now ensures that the lashes permanently take on the curl of the silicone pad and must also be left on for around 10 to 15 minutes.
Last but not least, your lashes are treated with a nourishing serum, which is applied to the lashes to restore a little moisture. The lashes are then dyed dark. This ensures that the lashes are particularly radiant in the light.
And that's all there is to it. The lashes should now simply be kept away from moisture and wetness for 24 hours. They can then be coated with mascara as usual.
