Sometimes it takes very little to turn a beauty treatment into an even lovelier moment of wellbeing. Add one of our two soothing partial foot reflexology massages to your treatment at Beautylounge and treat yourself to a little extra time out.
With Lash Lifting or Brow Lifting you can add the foot reflexology massage for CHF 25.00 . It is carried out in a relaxed way alongside your treatment, with no additional treatment time.
With our two large pedicures you can also choose between the two partial foot reflexology massages. It replaces the regular foot massage of the pedicure, so it costs only CHF 5.00 extra.
A little extra to switch off, breathe and enjoy, to suit your personal need for wellbeing.
The partial foot reflexology massages can be booked at all six Beautylounge studios in Basel and the surrounding area.
FOOT REFLEXOLOGY: YOUR EXTRA FOR THE PEDICURE
The partial foot reflexology massage is a short, soothing finish to your Spa Pedicure. It focuses on selected reflex zones on your feet and takes place straight afterwards, with no additional appointment. The technique behind it looks back on a tradition thousands of years old.

Soft Reset for soothing relaxation
Soft Reset is meant for moments when you want to come to rest and let your pedicure end in a relaxed way.
The massage focuses mainly on the area of the toes and the ball of the foot: zones that, in traditional reflex zone theory, are assigned to the head and shoulder area.
The movements are calm and slow: gentle thumb pressure, circular movements and even strokes in a relaxed rhythm.
Many people find exactly these calm, repeated movements calming: breathing becomes deeper, the shoulders drop and the day is allowed to pause for a moment.
All you need to do is stay comfortably seated in the relaxation chair. The massage follows straight on from your pedicure, with no additional appointment.
Soft Reset is particularly good after a long day, when you want to let go and breathe out.
Light Steps for an invigorating feeling
Light Steps is for you if you would like to combine your pedicure with a slightly more invigorating finish.
✓ The zones: the massage focuses mainly on the middle of the foot, an area that, in traditional reflex zone theory, is assigned to the digestive organs.
✓ The movements: an invigorating rhythm, targeted thumb pressure alternating with flowing strokes from the ball of the foot to the heel.
✓ The feeling: afterwards your feet can feel pleasantly refreshed and light.
Both options cost CHF 5.00 in addition to your Spa Pedicure and take as long as a little moment to breathe.
You do not have to decide in advance: choose spontaneously at your appointment, our team will be happy to advise you.
Look good, feel good, right down to your toes.
Add a foot reflexology massage to your pedicure
✓ With your treatment: whether Lash Lifting, Brow Lifting or Spa Relax, Spa Pedicure Complete or Men's Pedicure, you can simply add your massage add-on.
✓ For CHF 5: the extra charge is simply added to your pedicure.
✓ Straight afterwards: the massage takes place after your Spa Pedicure, in the relaxation chair.
✓ How to book: book your Spa Pedicure online as usual and just let us know briefly at your appointment.
✓ Your option: you choose Soft Reset or Light Steps directly in the studio, depending on how you feel that day.
✓ Good to know: the massage is a wellness treatment and does not replace medical treatment. If you have acute inflammation or injuries on the foot, a fever or vein problems, please let us know beforehand.
No effort, no planning: simply try it at your next Spa Pedicure and feel the small difference for yourself.
Foot reflexology massage as a little time out for your feet
Foot reflexology massage is one of the oldest forms of massage in the world. Its roots go back several thousand years, to China and India among other places. At the start of the 20th century, the American doctor William Fitzgerald developed zone therapy from it, which was developed further into the method known today by Hanne Marquardt in the 1950s.
In this traditional teaching, the foot is regarded as a miniature image of the body: the toes are assigned to the head and neck area, the ball of the foot to the chest area, the middle of the foot to the centre of the body and the heel to the pelvic area. These assignments are not scientifically proven, but the massage has been valued for generations as a relaxation method.
We work with targeted thumb pressure, circular movements and calm strokes from the ball of the foot to the heel. The pressure always stays pleasant and distinct, never painful, and is continually adjusted to how you feel.
Many people find the massage deeply relaxing: the calm, repeated movements help you switch off, and tired feet often feel light and refreshed again.
With us, you enjoy this tradition in its most compact form: as a partial massage straight after your pedicure, in the relaxation chair, with no additional appointment, for CHF 5.

what our clients say
Frequently asked questions about pedicure at Beautylounge
Which massage suits me: Soft Reset or Light Steps?
Soft Reset is ideal if your mind is busy, you are under stress or you simply want to switch off.
We recommend Light Steps if you would like a rather invigorating and activating massage for your feet.
Which areas are massaged during Soft Reset?
With Soft Reset, the focus is on the toes, the forefoot and the balls of the feet. In classic foot reflexology, these areas are linked, among others, to the head, neck and upper body. The massage is particularly geared towards relaxation and switching off.
Which areas are massaged during Light Steps?
With Light Steps, we focus more on the midfoot and the sole of the foot. In foot reflexology, these areas are linked, among others, to the digestive and excretory organs. The massage feels rather invigorating and activating.
Do I also still get the normal foot massage?
No. Soft Reset or Light Steps replace the regular foot massage in your pedicure. So instead of the classic massage, you receive one of the two special massage techniques.
Does Soft Reset or Light Steps take longer than the normal foot massage?
No. The massage takes roughly the same time as the regular foot massage, around 15 minutes. The surcharge of CHF 5.00 is due to the special massage technique.
Which pedicures can I book Soft Reset or Light Steps with?
You can book both massages with the Spa Relax Pedicure and the Spa Pedicure Complete. They replace the classic foot massage already included there.
Can I book Soft Reset or Light Steps with the Business Pedicure too?
No. As the Business Pedicure does not include a regular foot massage, Soft Reset and Light Steps cannot be chosen as an add-on here.
Can I book the massage during pregnancy too?
Yes. During pregnancy, we preferably recommend Soft Reset, as its focus is on areas for relaxation, the head and the upper body. We do not recommend Light Steps during pregnancy, as it focuses on the areas linked in reflexology to the digestive and excretory organs.
Is the massage painful, and can I decide how firm the pressure is?
The massage should always feel pleasant. If you are sensitive to reflex-zone pressure, the treatment can be made gentler accordingly. Our stylist will check during the massage whether the pressure is comfortable for you, and will adjust it at any time.
Are your stylists trained foot reflexology massage therapists?
No. Soft Reset and Light Steps are wellness massages that draw on techniques from foot reflexology massage. Our stylists have been specially trained in these two massage techniques. It is not a medical or therapeutic foot reflexology massage.
