Smile’Up teeth whitening works with a whitening gel based on sodium percarbonate (Na2CO3). Once the gel is activated, small doses of oxygen are released, which in turn break up the stains in the tooth enamel with the help of LED light and then dissolve them.

Do my teeth need special care afterwards?
Yes, it makes sense to brush your teeth after whitening with a mild, fluoride toothpaste. If you experience discomfort, you can also use an anti-sensitivity toothpaste to ease any sensitivity.
Do I have to avoid food and drink for a while after teeth whitening?
A very important question! For the first 24-48 hours, you should avoid strongly staining foods and drinks (e.g. coffee, black tea, red wine, cola, curry, beetroot etc.). Smoking is also not recommended during this period. If you follow a "white diet" (light-coloured foods, water etc.), you can also eat or drink straight after the whitening.
Is teeth whitening painful?
The treatment is generally painless, but some clients may feel a slight pulling sensation or sensitivity.
Is teeth whitening harmful to the teeth?
In our studios, teeth are whitened with tested products and professional application. The whitening is therefore not harmful to the teeth, as the tooth enamel is not damaged.

How often do I need to have my teeth whitened for good results?
One treatment is usually enough to achieve a noticeably brighter result. For more heavily stained teeth, 2-3 sessions spaced 2 weeks apart can also make sense to make your teeth shine.
How often should I top up?
This depends on your individual lifestyle (coffee, tea, red wine, smoking). The result normally lasts for 6-12 months.
