Can Medical Base be combined with classic treatments?
Of course, and it even makes sense. While Medical Base works in a targeted and intensive way, classic treatments provide relaxation, moisture and wellness. Combining the two offers a comprehensive result for skin that stays well cared for in the long term.
What does "Medical Base" mean for facials?
Good question! Medical Base treatments are intensive, device-based methods that work deeper in the skin than classic facials. They specifically stimulate skin renewal, improve the appearance of your skin in the long term and are particularly effective for wrinkles, scars, pigmentation marks or blemishes.
Which treatments are part of Medical Base?
We offer these Medical Base treatments:
Microneedling to stimulate collagen production and firm the skin
Microdermabrasion for gentle yet deep-acting removal of dead skin cells
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to reduce pigmentation marks and redness, and for skin rejuvenation
Radio frequency (RF) to tighten the tissue and stimulate collagen formation
Do the treatments have side effects?
Possible side effects are redness, slight numbness or bruising caused by the cold. These fade again after a few days.
Can I have a facial if I have acne?
Yes, absolutely. There are special anti-acne treatments that cleanse the skin thoroughly, calm inflammation and support healing. Medical treatments can also help to improve acne scars.
