Goodbye, eyelash curler! To get curved, long lashes and an expressive, radiant look, mascara used to be necessary every time. Thanks to "Lash Lifting by Beautylounge", you now wake up with perfect lashes. How does it work? We explain it here.
Lash Lifting: how does it work and what are the benefits?
Lash lifting and lash perming are both treatments in which the lashes are chemically shaped into a stronger curl with a lotion (similar to perm solution, only many times milder).
The effect lasts four to six weeks and is visible immediately after the treatment. Unlike lash perming, where the lashes are wrapped around a small plastic roller, lifting raises the lashes upwards right from their base. This makes them look longer and stretched without a visible kink.
To achieve this curl, the lashes are cleaned, combed and then stuck with a mild adhesive onto a silicone pad that has previously been fixed on the eyelid. This pad determines the final shape of the lashes and, depending on the desired curl and the length of your own lashes, different silicone pads of different sizes are used.
They are then dabbed with a solution that makes the lashes soft and malleable. Depending on thickness and lash type, this process can take up to 15 minutes.
Once the lashes are soft and supple, the solution is carefully removed and a second, setting lotion is dabbed on. This ensures that the lashes permanently take on the curl of the silicone pad, and it also needs to work for around 10 to 15 minutes.
Finally, your lashes receive a nourishing serum, which is applied to the lashes to give them a little moisture back. The lashes are then tinted dark. This makes them shine especially in the light.
And that's it. The lashes only need to be kept away from moisture and wetness for 24 hours. After that, they can be coated with mascara as usual.
